All We Learned and Loved from UXDX EMEA 2024 in Dublin

We had the great opportunity to be a partner at UXDX EMEA 2024 in Dublin this year, the go-to event for UX, design, product, and dev professionals, ranked among the top 10 in our industry. With two days packed full of knowledge sharing and hands-on workshops, we set up our own booth to connect with attendees, share live demos, and even host a fun ping pong challenge!

Here are 3 of the most valuable insights and takeaways we gathered from the event.

Do agile right

Rory Madden, Founder of UXDX, kicked off the event with a powerful keynote addressing the issue of “fake agile.” He offered practical advice on how teams can move beyond surface-level practices and embrace real, lasting agile transformation. He highlighted the growing shift towards a culture that prioritizes flexibility, user-centered design, and effective communication. And, he made it all clear, that creating better products starts with one key principle: truly “doing agile right.”

Leading Through Times of AI

Generative AI is a big topic in product development, with fast progress leading to talks about how it will affect jobs and the future. At UXDX EMEA 2024, the focus was on AI, with product demos and a lively debate between speakers about its role in our industry. A key point from the talks was that AI should be seen as a tool that boosts human creativity, not seen as a competitor.

Collaboration Drives Innovation

This year’s UXDX event highlighted the importance of a collaborative, strategic approach in overcoming challenges in large organizations. By reducing silos, improving cross-functional communication, and creating a culture of design and innovation, teams can better meet the needs of both users and stakeholders. But the excitement didn’t stop there! Our ping pong challenge turned things into a lively arena.
